Hi

We have windows 2000 sbs server. We are upgrading our
server hardware to a new and better server. Can anyone
point me to information about how you do this.

Thanks

I would do this:

1. Take an image of the existing system partition, using an
imaging tool such as Acronis TrueImage.

2. Start Windows 2000 Server.

3. Run \i386\winnt32.exe from your Win2000 Server CD.

4. Select "Upgrade" and start the installation.

5. First time it wants to reboot, switch of the server and
install its disk in the new machine.

6. When you turn on the new server, Windows will continue the
installation with a complete new hardware scan and installation
of Windows 2000 Server.

7. Re-install the latest Service Pack.
