Moving a Sent Message Using Rules

I am trying to move sent messages from the sent folder in my "Personal
Folders" PST file to a different folder in another PST file.

I can get it to copy the sent emails but I need to move them using a rule.

Is this possible?

I am using Outlook 2003 SP1.

Thanks.

The code allows for a message to be moved within the same PST file but not
to a different PST file. If you try to send it to a folder in another PST
file the sent message is saved in the Sent folder of the main PST file.

I would prefer a rule based method because I would not have to select a save
location each time an email is sent.

Is it possible to move a sent item using "Custom Action" in the rules area?

Turn off Outlook's default option for saving message in Sent Items and then use rules to "move a copy" of each sent item to some folder.

Thanks Sue.

This works. I made sure the rules that I created to move the sent messages
covered all sent messages so that all are saved.

One item that is annoying is that the messages are marked as unread. This
is minor though.
