I have no problems capturing with MM until I try to
increase the Pixel size and frames set at max.. then it
just locks up.. any one have any ideas? I am recording
from a composite port will this make a difference?

Yes, you are limited to size on composite, the largest depends on the
hardware/software coimbination, but probably 640x480 would be absolute max.
