movie maker

I need to set up movie maker for my granddaughter for a school project. I
evidently don't have the device that is needed to capture videos. what am I
supposed to be looking for? Is it what is used to import photos from a
digital camera or what?

Hi Sandy,

Use a digital camcorder, MiniDV type. They sell them around here for less
than $300, new. Your PC probably has a USB port and possibly a Firewire
(IEEE 1394) port as well. Depending on the camcorder, it will plug into one
or the other connector. Windows XP will recognize the camcorder when it is
plugged in and turned on. After that, follow the Wizard's lead and let
MovieMaker capture the tape.
