mouseover hints are hidden behind taskbar

Oh no, it's happened again! It seems this problem occurs after ever
time I play the game 'Live for speed'. Maybe it's because the game run
in fullscreen mode

Oh no, it's happened again! It seems this problem occurs after every
time I play the game 'Live for speed'. Maybe it's because the game runs
in fullscreen mode?

It sometimes happens to me too, no rhyme nor reason, then just as
mysteriously goes back to normal without intervention.

I solved it by putting my taskbar at the TOP of the screen.

Now the popups always come up below the task bar!

Other advantage is that I like to use the autohide taskbar and now I
seldom activate it accidentally as I often used to when it was at the
bottom.

One workaround is to right click the taskbar..properties..uncheck keep
taskbar on top of other windows..click apply then recheck it and click
apply.
