How do I log in at the opening screen where I choose an account when
my mouse does not work? When I did a system restore the new mose
software that I had installed was deleted and the former software is
no longer there.

What kind of mouse is this? USB? Wireless? Have you tried booting with a
PS/2 mouse attached? Those usually work fine. A restart can help with a USB
mouse. May need to enable "legacy USB support" in BIOS for the mouse to
work before Windows loads.

If using XP Pro, press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice to bring up the standard logon
screen. Use Tab to move from one field to the next. Type in info in the
appropriate fields. Tab to the OK button and press Enter.
