Mouse Wheel does not scroll in VBE

Within the VBE Editor of Access 2000/2002 and Word
2000/2002, my mouse wheel does not scroll. I have 2
different kinds of Logitech mice and a Microsoft Mouse
where the mouse wheel will not scroll. This only happens
within the VBE, whereas in every other part of Access or
any other Office products, all except the VBE part of the
tool, the mouse wheel functions properly.

Is this a bug with the VBE? I was told by Logitech's tech
support, that in some 16-bit applications the mouse wheel
will not work.

Anyone experience this and have a fix?

Use Intellipoint 3.x or 4.x software for your mouse. Intellipoint 5.x will
not scroll in VBE window. Or use a different mouse software. Freewheel is
one about which I've read some positive comments -- this URL may get you

Is this a bug with the Microsoft Products? Right now,
where I work, I am not allowed to install any unsupported
3rd Party tools, especially since the mouse wheel works in
99% of the applications within the company - it's only
this small piece of the Office apps that it does not work
in.

Bug? Depends upon who you ask. It seems to have been a deliberate design
decision by MS.

Annoyance? Absolutely.

Intellipoint is not third-party. It's MS software, and it can be found on
the internet for download.

I have the same problem in Access 97 when I'm editing code. The wheel works
perfectly throughout the rest of Access.
