Mouse Scroll

Hi, my mouse will scroll with the wheel everywhere except in the folders list on the left side of screen. I have chosen for my reading pane "bottom", so my folder list is on the right side....Have no problem scrolling anywhere else, but I really need it in the folder section. I've checked everything.

Don't know what else to do.....Anyone else have this problem?

I have an HP mouse and I use Outlook 2003.

Can anyone help me? This function is very important for my job productivity. Thaks.

I believe HP still uses rebranded Logitech mice. In that case, installing
the latest Logitech mouse driver might solve your issue.

I can't install software or drivers in this pc because I don't have the administrator privileges. I'am a guest.

Is it possible select a generic Windows PS/2 driver and not the default Hp mouse driver?

Where can I found this settings? In the Control Panel or in the "My Computer --> Properties --> Hardware settings --> Mouse --> Driver"?

Is this a right way to solve the problem?

Thanks

Since you are a guest on that system, you probably won't be able to make
those changes either. Contact the administrator of that computer to make the
proper changes to the system to solve this issue.

Changing drivers to the default Microsoft driver should fix it, but whether
you'll have the correct permissions to do so is the problem. If the mouse
has programmable buttons you'll lose them.

I too am having the issue of not being able to scroll in the folders list in
Outlook 2003.

As of 12 Dec 2009, I am running Win 7 Ultimate with all available
maintenance. MS Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 using what ever drivers come with
Win 7 (properties page says 6.1.7600.16385).

If there is a different driver I should be using, what and where is it?

Without seeing the full thread you are replying to, I can only assume they
were using a non-ms mouse. The scrolling you get with the MS Mouse is the
best you'll get, the only differences will be between pulling the slider and
using the scroll wheel.
