Can someone help? My 11 year old nephew got on my computer and claimed the
computer "froze" on him. Says he didn't do anything???? The screen was at the
login where I can pick either my name or my son's. If I clicked on them,
nothing. I called Dell support and they tried several things and decided I
needed to wipe my hard drive. I just changed from a 20 Gb to an 80 Gb a month
or so ago, so not really my first choice. I was able to login to my name by
using ctrl alt del del. In doing so, found out my mouse no longer works on a
right click and the left click operates as my normal right click would. When
I left click a menu comes up for everything, including trying to click on an
icon. This would explain why it wouldn't let me click on one of our names. I
checked mouse properties, everything looks fine. While on the computer
messing around, I have also discovered the screensaver quit working, no
matter which one or how long I set it for. I have yet to see what else the
computer is doing since this just happened yesterday. Does anyone have any
idea what he could have done or how I can fix it without having to wipe my
hard drive??
