I have a PC with Vista Home Premium operating sys and wireless Microsoft
mouse.
When I open a document in Word 2007 I can the pointer in the margins of the
document only. It disappears behind text. Does anyone have a fix for this
?

If the only program you have a problem with is Word, I would suggest you
post in the Office newsgroup.

Do you mean when it is in the text area it turns into "I"?
If that is it, it is supposed to.

I have a document with several paragraphs. I want to highlight a single
sentence,
cut and paste it to another area in the document. When I move the mouse
over the document text the pointer disappears. The 'I" remains next to the
first
letter in the first paragraph of the document. I can not see the pointer to
place the 'I" at the beginning of the sentence I want to highlight. To be
precisely where
I want to be, I must move the "I" with the arrow keys or click somewhere in
the document, locate the "I" and move it with the arrow keys. Hope this all
makes
sense.

Problem solved. In my case, if I want to see the "I" when I
move my mouse over text, I have to use the Windows
Inverted scheme in Pointer Options.

I had this problem too! Driving me crazy! I changed to the windows inverted
scheme and it works perfectly now (although the appearance of my pointer is
changed -- now black or transparent instead of white). Thanks for the tip!

The inverted pointer isn't supposed just to do that, it's supposed to have
the opposite color of what it's mousing over...not just transparent...so
either the person who coded it didn't know this or there is a bug in the
program. I want to know WHY It's not changing color >.>
