I recently bought a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium installed
and my issue is with links opening when I just touch them with the mouse
pointer, I do not have to click them. Is this a feature of Home Premium?
Can it be disabled?

This is not a Vista feature, but rather a side effect of a very sensitive
touchpad, I believe. Make sure you point gently on the links, do not tap
them. Keep your palms and sleeves clear of the touchpad as well.

You can go into your control Panel, and alter the way the touchpad pointer
works.
