Dell Desktop, Vista, Touch Pointer...

I have a Dell Insipron desktop with Vista Home Premium. It's a standard-style
desktop, mouse, keyboard, etc...

I'd like to purchase a touch screen LCD monitor, and do away with the mouse
and keyboard. I've read about the Vista option of Touch Pointer, but I don't
see it in the Vista Control Panel like the documentation says. Will that
option "appear" if I make the touch screen LCD purchase and hook it up? Or,
is that something special for tablet/mobile PCs?

Thanx in advance,

jeh.

That is part of "Windows Features". It's called Tablet PC and needs to be
enabled. You get to "Windows Features" through "Progams and Features".

But it's not in all versions of Vista. It's most certainly not in
Home Basic.

Lisa,

I enabled the Tablet PC in Windows Features. The only "feature" I get is the
Tablet PC control panel, which has on screen writing and keyboard. I'm
looking for the pointer control. Also I don't get the "touch tab" in the
Control Panel's Pen and Input Devices dialog.

I have a PLanar PT1500MU Touch Screen LCD attached to the workstation. I can
move the pointer, access the onscreen keyboard, but I need a few more pointer
controls as described by Microsoft, such as right button click....

Thanx so much for you help.
