I'm reduced to re-installing WinXP because I cannot find how to regain
control of the mouse pointer.
I've checked the connections.
I've reinstalled the mouse.
I've reinstalled the win mouse driver.
The trouble-shooter doesn't help me.
When the OS boots, the pointer moves to the tray icons of it's own accord
and stays there.
I own a laser light mouse with wheel.
It may be that the mouse is defective, but I cannot be sure.
System recognises mouse and says it is functional.
Does anyone have any new ideas that I could try?
