Mouse pointer causes "Favorites" item to disappear

I use Windows 98 SE and IE 6. Unknown change has caused odd phenomenon. When
mouse pointer is over an item in "Favorites", the item disappears until the
pointer is moved away. Makes using "Favorites" difficult. Any ideas to
correct problem....and thanks. (I've tried reinstalling IE 6)

This might be caused by your video drivers. Reinstalling the drivers might help.
