Mouse On Game

I can use the scroller on my mouse on the desktop, but
when i play games (even if the certain control is set
default to mouse scroll) it wont work, it works on other
pcs with the same game, but not mine....help please

Which make of mouse? Logitech has a work-around patch on their web site.
