mouse not working

I just purchased a new Dell machine with XP Professional.
I downloaded Service Package 1 and now the mouse is gone.
 
Hi,

Since it is a new machine, you should call Dell for support.
However, I would suggest you to dwonload the latest BIOS and devices drivers form the Dell website.
