Mouse gone after updated Windows XP

Hi. I would appreciate some help. I went through normal Windows update for my
XP and after it finished, my mouse won't work. I can see the cursor in the
middle of the screen. Help...?

You can try going into safe mode, and uninstall the update that it did. Or,
you can hit the left window key, and navigate through the start menu and do
a system restore to before the update. It sounds like it may have updated a
mouse driver.
