Kasvera:Thanks for your reply;I don't have an error in
the display manager.My mouse works fine, its only when I
click on a link w/the cursor hand that I get a yellow
star,trimmed in red,w/a red exclamation mark flashes at
the base of the arrow.This just appeared 2 days ago.The
only thing I've downloaded in this time frame is Google
task bar.Do you still think I shold re-install the
mouse.Thanks again fro your kind help.GC

Hi Gene,

It is the Google Taskbar. You should also hear a new sound when opening
sites for ratings.

It's the signal from Google's toolbar that it is blocking a pop up window.

hit the Control key when entering a site to override.
