I have a computer running XP Home SP2 and have a problem with the mouse
cursor.
I use a Microsoft optical, scroll-wheel PS/2 mouse. I use the standard
mouse driver supplied by XP, although I have tried the latest Intellipoint
mouse driver, but that didn't help.
In Control Panel, Mouse, the option "hide pointer while typing" is
checked. However, it doesn't work with all programs, such as Outlook
Express and when I'm typing comments on a web form using Internet Explorer.
The fact that the "hide pointer while typing" feature doesn't work with
Outlook Express is particularly annoying since I use it a lot. I have the
exact same mouse connected to a Windows Millennium computer, and I don't
have this problem. With that machine, the cursor always disappears whenever
I begin typing, regardless of the program.
Any suggestions?
