Mouse and Keyboard Freeze

I came back from a weeks vacation after having left my computer on. When I
got home the first thing I did was open internet explorer. It froze, the
screen turned blue and it began a critical memory dump. I restarted using
the button on my tower, but after it rebooted and my desktop came up I
realized that I could use neither the mouse nor the keyboard to move. I also
have a cable modem if that helps. Is there anything I can do? or am I
doomed? Thanks

Hi Ajax, I had a similar problem, which was caused by my mouse, and was
solved by plugging it into a USB port instead of the ordinary round type.
Hope it helps. Regards, Cyfarchion
