mounting CD ISO images

Hello,

I'm getting tired of having to switch my kids cdrom in and out of the
machine.

Is there some way to mount a iso image of a CD in windows? Preferably
from a command-line interface so that I can cobble together a script
for each game that mounts the ISO image and starts the game.

A virtual CD package would do just what you want provided you have the disk
space for the CD ISO's. You can create a library of CD's and on more virtual
CD drives. The drives themselves use very little memory or disk space.

Farstone Virtual CD version 10 is good and not expensive. The games can then
be started from a shortcut on the desktop or if there are a lot of games,
select the ones to be loaded with an icon in the Systray

Avitrual cd drive software is a good idea. You actually copy the entire CD to
the HDD. Then run application from HDD>

Can google fro "vitrual drive".

I use Alcohol 120%. works great. You use a free program called Rayscan to
find out what protection there is on a disc and then Alcohol will copy it. I
do not make copies of the discs. I just use it to do exactly what you are
thinking. Use a virtual drive and never have to put in a game disc.
