MOST FREQUENTLY USED PROGRAMS ICONS DISAPPEAR

My most frequently used programs icons (above the start
button) suddenly all disappear showing a blank space.
Anyone know how I can get them back?

Right click the START button.
Select Properties
Click the Start Menu tab at top
Click Customize

Sorry .. oops

Right click the START button
Select Properties
Click the "Start Menu" tab on top
Click the customize button
Click the "General" tab
In the programs section, "Number of programs on the Start
menu" make sure the number isn't 0, I use 4.

Keep in mind, that programs that get listed as frequently
used, can only be shown when launched from the start
button, not from Windows Explorer.
