Start menu question.....

Program icons have been disappearing from my start menu recently - I've been
able to get most of them back, except for Office 2003. All my Office 2003
icons are blank. What could be causing this?

I would try rightclicking a desired icon, and choose 'pin to start menu' to
make start items permanent.

The office icon problem is another kettle of fish. If you go to Control
Panel, "Programs and Features", The list will include Office, and
rightclicking that will offer a 'repair' option that should repair the icon
problem.
