more problems with reinstall and port 80

ok, I've reinstalled everything, intalled the patches, in fp and the new
FPSE - I've reopened FP 2002 and opened my site live - published it to the
localhost ... then opened it from the localhost and made changes and then
tried to republish to my site on the internet - fp says that it can not find
a web server at www.xxxxxx on port 80 - Please check to make sure that the
web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly.

although it looks like its uploading the files???

why is this so difficult??????

Are you publishing to http:// or just www? You need to publish to
http://www.mywebname.com

no, I'm publishing to http://www.myname.com

I just tried again and it gave me the same initial error that it couldn't
find a web site named www.myname.com on port 80 - but after I click on ok,
it goes away and uploads and everything looks fine?? any ideas why I'm
having a problem with this port 80 thing? it was a conflict and I removed
server extensions on it from the IIS (think it was IIS...don't remember
anymore) and checked and verified extensions on the IIS Default WEb Site
..... is there a problem here or something? Also, on the IIS and under
Pamela/Websites/Default Web Site - the Default Website has what looks like a
red stop sign before it and says ERROR in it ... I've done all the checks by
right clicking and checking everything under All Tasks..and everything comes
back fine. Under Default Web Site it has folders for IIS Help, _vti_bin
Printers, and Sharepoint

should Printers and sharepoint be under that??
