More duplicate e-mails received

email keeps loading copies of messages. Looked at other posts and went to
accounts, advanced tab and the "keep messages on my server" is not checked.
does anybody have the same problem and a different solution. On my account I
have the e-mail account and a News account but do not know what the latter is.

Have a look at your Anti Virus email integration. Disable it by uninstalling your AV and then re-installing it without the email integration.

Another thing to check if you have more than 1 single identity set up

If the same messages get downloaded repeatedly, it means there is a stuck
or corrupted message on the server. Log into webmail (using a browser),
then delete all the older messages you don't need anymore.
