Cannot receive e mails

An e mail containing photographs has failed to send and it keeps on bouncing
back to me and the following error message is received Your server has
unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include
server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account:
'mail.northamptonrl.co.uk', Server: 'mail.northamptonrl.co.uk', Protocol:
POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

No other e mails can be received either

How large is the message? Can you send smaller messages?

Is your anti-virus application configured to scan outgoing and incoming
mail?
