Modem not able to install

When I try to reinstall an internal modem the
selection,"Create a dial-up connection using a modem.",is
shaded.So I can't sellect it.The only choice is to use a
LAN or words to that effect.I have installed the drivers
that came with the modems OEM cd.
HELP!

XP doesn't recognise your modem so it doesn't think one is installed.
Either try and obtain XP drivers for your device, or get a modem
that is XP certified.

Dial-Up Modem or PPPoE is Unavailable (Line 87)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Standard Checkpoints:

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Set these three to "Automatic":

Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager,
Telephony.
