I made a mobile version of Firefox 1.5 that can run directly from a
CDROM, USB thumb drive, or hard drive. It doesn't require an install.
It will run on Windows 98 and higher.

You can download it free as an iso image or zip file from the link
below.

Hi Mark,
Have you seen Portable Firefox, available at:-
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/browsers/portable_firefox
Would you tell us the + and - points of the 2 alternatives?

Primary differences are license and supported media types

Mobile Firefox
Run from CD in addition to, hard drive, or usb thumb drive
Licensed under the same license as Firefox. Why change a good thing?

Portable Firefox
Runs from hard drive or usb thumb drive
GPL License

Mark,

Last time I tried it, I worked an hour to configure it. Then I installed an
update, and it wiped out my settings. Do you know if they have addressed
that issue?

Thanks,,,
