MMC keeps asking to save Changes...

S

Scott Townsend

I've created an mmc with my Favorite Snap-Ins and every time I close it it
asks me if I want to save changes.

I'm not sure what changes it is saving, maybe the last snap-in I was in?

Is there a way to have it not ask me? It hangs up the machine when I go to
reboot, etc as it is sitting at the Want to save prompt.

Thank you,
Scott<-

Hi Scott,

Try following steps:

1. Open the customized MMC console.
2. Click File -> Options
3. Change Author Mode to User Mode
4. Check "Don't save changes to this console"

Check if it helps.

Best regards,

<Console><Options> Change from Author mode to one of the User modes and
check the box to not save changes.

Any way to now go back and Add a Snap-in?

Also is there a way to change the Order of the Sanp-ins once they are there?

Thanks
