MMC console does not save settings

I am trying to create a MMC console with a view of only the OU that they need
access to. I add the Users and Computers snap in, then I navigate to the OU,
then I select "New Window from Here", then I close the console root window.
I go into Options, and select the "user with single window", then I save the
MMC. When I open it back up, it goes back to the console root. How do I get
it to save the settings?

Thanks

It sounds like that should work.
You might try to open a copy of the dsa console in author mode and see if
that works...

STEPS:
open a cmd.exe window
cd %windir%\system32
copy dsa.msc mydsa.msc
mmc /a mydsa.msc
make your changes
save the mydsa.msc console

nope, that didn't help. Any other ideas? Could group policy be affecting me
in someway?

Thanks!

Mike - I see the problem now, I'm am connecting to a different domain than
the one I"m in to build the console. Is it not possible to do this to a
different domain? If I create the console in my current domain, the settings
are saved.

Thanks
