MMC 8.9

OK, so i guess i'm not the only one with MMC 8.9 problems, but i'll lay out
my situation here for ya all.

I have a TV Wonder Pro card w/ just the TV Tuner. My primary video card is
an nVidia card.

I did get 8.8 working when i first got the card a month ago. Granted there
were some annoying bugs wiht 8.8, but it did work overall quite well.

I was happy when i saw that 8.9 was up on the website. I quickly downloaded
it, uninstalled 8.8, and attempted to install 8.9.

First problem, 8.9 would not install over 8.8, so i was forced to uninstall
8.8. After uninstalling and rebooting, i got an error stating the scheduler
program/service could not start. This was 'bad sign #1'. I ignored it, and
attempted to run the 8.9 installer. The installer extracted fine, and the
setup started..but after 'inializing Installshield', or whatever it said,
the installer just *poof* disappeared. This happens EVERYTIME i start it.

For the life of me, i cannot get 8.9 to even start to install.

Any ideas? Or should i stick with 8.8?

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever find a way to get it to install?

Same problem. Nothing but problems with MMC ever since I got my TV
Wonder Pro. Now I cant even freakin install the software. Do they
not bother to test their software?
