XP denies installation of WDM drivers on AIW 9000

I was trying to upgrade from Catalyst 3.10 & MMC 8.8 to recently posted 4.3
& 8.9 respectively.
Everything was working great before the change.
When installing the new drivers, the TV Audio Crossbar and Rage Theater
Audio/Video were not installed because a message states that the access is
denied to the setup process.
Try to go back and the previously installed (and functioning) drivers got
the same problem this time.
Tried to get a clean install erasing everything from ATI and same result.
I've read that MS is upgrading security aspects of Windows XP and that may
be that future upgrades will keep running SW that doesn't commit to
"State-of-the-art" security designs (as claimed by MS) not running anymore.
Maybe that any present security upgrade I've installed in my XP is now
preventing this WDM drivers to be definitely installed?
Thanks for any clue on the subject,
Cristian.

Did you run dxdiag at some point and put a check mark in "check for
whql siganture" box? If you did then uncheck it and try again.

I have run dxdiag but don´t remember to have placed this checkmark.
I'll check this when returning home and tell the results.
I've also found that when the drivers are tried to install, a Windows
message telling that the drivers are not certified for Win. When I
give it an OK for installing anyway, it continues but the other error
arises.
Keep you informed. Thanks.
Cristian.

Done. But with the same results.
Check mark WAS checked and I unchecked it.
With the mark clear and after rebooting, try to install the
uninstalled drivers with the same result.
Also try to do the same on "Signature of controllers" on the HW tab on
System Properties of the Control Panel.
By the way, I've DirectX 9b (4.09.0000.0902)
Any other clue?
Regards,
Cristian.

Don't know really except make sure your /windows/temp/ folder is empty
when doing the install.
