MM suddenly STOPPED working

Please help. I've been using MM for the longest time now and mostly have had
no problems. I haven't used it for a while and when I tried to launch the
program now, I simply get "Windows Movie Maker has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and the program closes.
It doesn't even open up properly when I get this message! Why is this?

The only "big" things I've done on my PC since using MM last were upgrading
from IE Beta 7 to IE7, uninstalling McAfee Security Centre, installing NOrton
Security CEntre, deciding I don't like it, so uninstalling Norton, and then
reinstalling McAfee.

Please, please help.

Some users have reported IE7 caused
problems....maybe it would be worth a
try to uninstall it.

But it worked fine with IE Beta 7. I really like IE 7 - is there a way of
uninstalling IE7 and installing IE BETA 7?

IE7 may not the problem...I was just
reporting what I have read in other
messages. FWIW, my machine has
no problems with IE7.

Maybe...and I'm only saying maybe...
it might be worth a try to do a System
Restore to a date before you installed
IE7. Possibly you set a restore point
before installing IE7?

Good luck.
