In Word 2003 you should be able to import
a .mix file by going to....Insert / Picture / From File...
Browse to your .mix files...In the...Files of type....
drop window...choose...All Files...or...All Pictures...

If these files were created with MS Picture It! 2001
or earlier...you should be able to open them
with any version of MS Picture It! or MS Digital
Image. If these were layered projects like
greeting cards...they will have to be opened in
MS Picture It! or MS Digital Image if you plan
to re-edit them.

There's a trial version you can download from the
following link and you could use Mini Lab to
do a batch conversion of your .mix files to a
more compatible format. .jpg, .png, .tif, etc.

Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition 2006
is a downloadable 60 day trial version with
much of the functionality of MS Digital Image
Suite 2006.

Once your 60 day trial period has ended, the
program will de-feature to minimal functionality.

If the .mix files were created with PhotoDraw...read

File Can't Be Opened
