Missing Start-->Search menu item----"files or folders"

Running Win2000 with all the upgrades on a laptop.

When I go to Start->Search only two pop over menu items
appear: "on the internet" "for people" The menu item
for "files and folders" disappeared. I must have screwed
something up but can't figure it out. Is this a glitch in the Group
Policy and can I fix it there?

Run "gpresult /v" and verify if such settings have been configured thru GPO.

Thanks for the help. I didn't find any results that hinted at
controlling the start menu-->Search menu. I can still access the
Search Assistant Window with the right click on "My Computer." Maybe
this is a registry problem. Thanks again.
