How can I add Start Menu items to computers and or users via group policy.
I am using Windows 2003 Active Directory and Windows XP clients.
I have looked in a few Microsoft books and all over the web and I see there
is "Folder Redirection" available. One of the MS books recomends not to use
Folder Redirection but to add the Start Menu items via group policy. I can
not find out how to do that.
I tried the folder redirection on my "Techie" group, but now every
workstation I log in to it copies start menu items to the folder on the
server and passes those shortcuts to the next computer I log into.
I want to be able to put shortcuts in a folder on the server and have those
added to the start menu, not replace the ones that are already there.
Can someone please point me in the right direction so I can solve this
problem.
Thanks in advance.
