Missing Security tab

I did some work on several Windows XP machines on a WORKGROUP LAN. On some,
when I attemped to share a folder I saw only a General tab and a Sharing tab.
On others, I saw a Security tab in addition. What's configured differently
in these two situations?

Thanks and regards,

David

For the Security tab to be present the folder must first be on a drive that's
formatted NTFS. Next, the system must be running XP Professional and have
Simple File Sharing disabled in Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View page.
Simple File Sharing cannot be disabled in XP Home Edition, but you can access
the Security tab in Safe Mode.

How to disable simplified sharing and set permissions on a shared folder in
Windows XP

Good luck
