Where is security tab for folder right click?

B

I'm logged into XP SP2 as an admin. When I right click a folder in
Windows Explorer, I don't see a security tab. I have these tabs:
General, Sharing, Customize. I'd like to add a user to this folder
with specific permissions. How do I get the security tab?

Thanks,
Brett

The drive is not formatted w/ NTFS file system. It's FAT32 - Locate the
drive letter (prolly D:\ or E:\) go to a command prompt and type:

convert e: /FS:NTFS /V

reboot

Turn off simple file sharing on an NTFS disk.

To gain access to the Security tab in Windows XP Professional
or Media Center Edition you'll need to disable Simple File
Sharing, Start -> Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View ->
Uncheck "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)".

To gain access to the Security tab in Windows XP Home Edition
you'll have to restart the computer and boot into Safe Mode.
Safe Mode uses Simple File Sharing by default and modifying
NTFS permissions is not really a practical solution.

Does Convert actually do anything in XP?

Because it does nothing in Vista32 WinPE.
