security tab

Hi Guys,

My security tab to audit security for users isn't showing. I'm right
clicking on a folder - properties.
The only tabs that appear or General, sharing, customize. The hard disk is
formatted as NTFS and I'm logged in as administrator.

Can anybody help me?

Hi,

On WinXP Pro, you need to turn off simple file sharing to see the
security tab. More here

folder in Windows XP

If you are running WinXP Home Edition, you must start the computer in
safe mode, and then log on with an account that has Administrative
rights to have access to the Security tab.

Go into your control panel and click on classic view then select folder
options. all the way down at the ottom you will see "simple file sharing" you
want to turn that off and then the security tab will appear.
