Missing Recurring Appointments after Rescheduling

In Outlook 2003 (and also 2002) sometimes when I move one
instance of a recurring appointment the whole series
disappears from the calender. I can find it if I use Find
but it does not appear in the calender. Any suggestions?
 
What view do you have set on your Calendar folder when you try to move the
appointments, and are you moving them via drag and drop or some other
method?
