WHILE installing PPoint from office xp to windows xp home
I got this error message
error 1335: the cabinet file OFFICE1.CAB required
for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This
could indicate a network error, an error reading from the
cd-rom or problem with this package.

Ive checked the cd-rom and its ok, Ive checked and
cleaned the cd and looks good, Ive not idea about the
network error thing. Can anyone help. Thank you.

I'd create an "Office XP Install CD" folder on your hard drive, then copy the
whole contents of your XP CD into it.

Then run SETUP from within that folder.

If it works and you have the HD space, you may want to leave the folder there.
Some updates/service packs will ask for the original CD and might fail because
there's some problem with your existing CD (or so it seems). With the files on
the HD, you can just point it there when the updater requests the original CD.
