Corrupted OfficeXP Office1.cab File

I have a copy of Windows OfficeXP on CD that was
installed on my system. I had to reload my O/S and
required a re-install of OfficeXP and other
applications. When I installed OfficeXP, my office1.cab
file will not read from the CD, I get a CRC check error.

I tried the suggestions from Microsoft. no luck. Does
any one know when or how I can acquire another copy of
the office1.cab file ?

Hi David,

You can get it from a friend who have the Office XP CD or try obtaining a
replacement CD by contacting the Microsoft Supplemental and Replacement
Parts Department at (800) 360-7561. Please note that proof of purchase from
a retailer is required when ordering a replacement part. If your software
was distributed with or preinstalled on your computer at the time of
purchase, you need to contact your personal-computer manufacturer for
replacements.
