Error 1335

I am trying to install Word 2002 from Works Suite.Have attempted the install
fro two different copies. The error message says the Cab .file
'OFFICE1.CAB'is corrupt.This could indicte a network error,an error reading
from the CD-ROM,or a problem with this package.I have reinstalled build
5384,checked everything else.
Does anyone have a suggestion? This is my test machine,so I can try
anything and just reinstall,if the trials don't work. I am having fun at 81
years of age.

Try copying the whole CD to a folder on your hard drive then running the
setup program from there. Are you trying to just install Word and not the
rest of Works? I haven't installed Works Suite for quite a while but I don't
think it is possible to install Word only.

I am no quite used to this posting procedure.I thought I had thanked Coli
and said I was going to try Kerrys' solution on my next "clean" install.I
also confirmed Bernies question re: my age.Yes I am 81.Never graduated from
High School. Joined the Navy in 1943, WW II.
