I use Notepad to write my HTML pages. Then I FTP to a
site for work. I have Windows XP running on a Dell and
this has always worked fine.
Lately, when viewing my pages that are already uploaded
to work site, some images aren't loading. When I check
the source code, there are missing letters like the
image "ceramichead1.jpg" would be showing
as "ceramiche .jpg" and leave out the "ad1." These are
all on things I've done correctly and they worked at time
of upload.
I've noticed it only on things ending in "ad" but not on
all things ending in "ad." I fix the page, save in
Notepad again, and upload. Things look good. I can look
later and it's fine; later I come back and it's missing
again for no reason and nobody has edited it in the
meantime.
I don't particularly think that Notepad is the source of
the problem, but that's just where I happen to be when I
notice the source code has missing letters.
I have scanned my home computer and work computer looking
for viruses, etc. At home I use a firewall. I am trying
to think of what could be going wrong here and I am
coming up short. I haven't found any answers doing a
search on the problem so far.
Anybody heard of this before or know where I can find
some resources?
Thanks,
