Missing image properties

Ever since I've loaded photoshop elements I am unable to save file
properties. I save keywords, titles etc but next time I open the file, the
info has disappeared. It happens with both tif and jpg formats.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a fix from either Microsoft or
Adobe?

thanks

This problem has been reported here before but no solution ever presented. I
have not seen this problem reported to be associated with Elements. I have
Photoshop Elements 5 on my computer and this does not create the problem.

There is a recent free tool released by Microsoft and this may be a way to
do what you want and also do it for multiple files.

You can go to this site to download this new tool:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/prophoto/photoinfo.mspx

Here is what it does:
"Microsoft Photo Info is a new software add-in for Microsoft Windows that
allows photographers to add, change and delete common "metadata" properties
for digital photographs from inside Windows Explorer. It also provides
enhanced "hover tips" and additional sort properties for digital photographs
in Explorer (in Details view)."

After you download the PhotoInfoSetup.msi file and you install it, right
click on a photo file and click on File Info on the opening menu.
