Viewing .Tif image files

I have Windows XP on my computer. When I save an image as .tif I am unable to
view it. The properties say it's a microsoft office document imaging file.
I need the high resolution of the .tif file for marketing. Any help or advice
is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Do you have Office 2003? Microsoft Document Imaging is part of the Office suite.
If the images have a .MDI extension do this:
Start, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Office Document Imaging. Open the
document and save as.

Do your .tif files have a .tif extension, if that is the case change the
association. Right-click any .tif file, properties, opens with....change.

Irfanview, avail at:
http://www.irfanview.com/
is free for personal use, cheap for others. I have used it for years and have all my image files associated with it (a choice you can make at install). It installs just in its own directory and does not any files in other windows folders.
(so all you need to do is delete that folder if you don't like it).

After install, if you associate your tif files with it, all you do is double click on your file, whether it is in an email or somewhere else on you harddrive, and it will open no problem.
