Missing Folders...but not really?

In one of my folders there are numerous sub-folders. I recently noticed that
about half of the subfiles are not showing. I manually type in the subfolder
in the address bar and it pops right up, but they cannot be seen back in the
main folder. I have changed to "show hidden folders". Any ideas?

The hidden file 'desktop.ini' is probably damaged. You can rename it and
close the folder. When you reopen it, a new desktop.ini will be built.

Mark - Thanks for the help. When I looked for the desktop.ini it wasn't
there. I created a new one, closed the folder and then reopened. When I
reopened one more folder went missing. Very wierd.
