missing files

A recent scan of my computer detected a missing file that
cannot be found or restored. Do I need this file. What is
it? please help, it is:
C\ProgramFiles\commonfilesinstallshield\professional\runti
me\0701\intel32\dotnetinstaller.exe / cannot acess a
necesary file "mscoree.dll
