I use Windows XP. Every time I star my computer, it tells
me a missing file error message. This file name is
C:\windows\system32\tools\delfolders.exe
Any idea where I can get it from please ?

Even if reboot everything and I reinstall the entire
Windows XP, it is still missing. I don't understand.

Thanks for your help.

There is no tools folder in the system32 folder, or delfolders.exe in XP.
It must belong to some other program.

That file is not part of XP. I did a quick Google search, there were a lot
of hits. Several people said that it is a file that should be on the CD
that came with your motherboard.

Sounds like some third party utility you've installed then uninstalled,
but the call to
the file is still in the registry. Find the key and delete it. Cross
your fingers that
the app didnt install yet another process which will re-create the call.
I recently
had this happen for an all-in-one printer which died and had to
uninstall. Silly calls
were still there [kept re-appearing] in the registry until I found the
..exe and .ex_ files that were causing them to "fix" the system and
putting back the registry entries
that I kept deleting.

Sounds like a software installation or un-installation did not complete
its cleanup process. What software have you installed/un-installed just
prior to this problem happening?
