Missing File Folders

I just got on my computer and went to 'My Documents' and
can no longer find file folders I created under My
Documents. When I do a search, nothing turns up. I'm
stressed because they contain months, and months of work.
PLEASE HELP!!!

I am late with this answer; however, one answer should be that restoring
your system to a previous date should restore those files.
